{366 Project}
29th June 2011
So, after quite a lot of umm’ing and arh’ing about it, I have decided to take on the challenge / project / regretful decision to take a photo a day for a year – more commonly known as a 365 project.
However, due to it being a leap year next year, it’s actually a 366 project – so the pressure is on for that extra photo!!
It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while, and made a poor attempt at it last year – resulting in about 5 days worth of photos! It was a pathetic attempt in all honesty, but the major mistake I made was expecting every photo to be amazing and also not really preparing for it.
This time around I plan to stick to it and hopefully anyone following will enjoy the photos I take.
The plan is to post a photo a day on my blog – providing I have access to the Internet. Although I should be able to upload a photo every day, there may be the odd occasion where I can’t. In this instance a photo will still be taken on the relevant day, it’ll just be uploaded (and back dated) as soon as possible – I’m making excuses already!! Not a great start!
The equipment I’ll use will be my trusty Canon 7D and my iPhone, hopefully making it a lot easier to get photos online.
I’d really appreciate your support and encouragement during this project. Please feel free to comment on any of the photos I take. Also, I’m going to try and set themes to work to, hopefully to develop my skills as a photographer. These can include techniques used (such as depth of field, exposure, HDR etc…) and also subject matter (such as landscape, architecture, portrait etc…). If there’s anything you’d like to suggest, then please comment as I’m going along and I’ll try to cover each one.
The project itself is going to start on this Friday, 1st July.
If you follow this blog / project and enjoy what you see, then please forward the details onto anyone you think would be interested in it.
I’m really looking forward to doing this project – think it’ll be a lot of fun, hopefully resulting in a some half decent photos in the process.
